I Can Only Imagine Movie Outreach
October 31, 2018 at 7:30 PM
On Wednesday Oct. 31, 2018 BFA hosted a light in the darkness event. Beginning at 7 pm guests arrived, some dressed in costume and traveling through the parking lot in search of sweet goodies (around a dozen teens entered the church and partook of the candy treats and potato chips and were welcomed to come out to the movie...these teens however chose not to see the movie) as well as the 40 others who enjoyed fellowship, hot apple cider and movie. The movie began promptly at 8 pm with an opening prayer by Bruce R (an elder of BFA). The majority of these in attendance had never viewed this movie before, and all commented on the powerful message it told. We enjoyed fellowship for some time after the movie was concluded. Thanks to all who help make this a wonderful time- to Megan B for organizing the candy treats, to Becky J and Hannah M for the cooking treats, to Wade/Judy for security, to Ted/Peggy for work on the sound-projection system, to Hannah M for posters design and production, to Bjdj for communications, to KFM and area churches for promoting this event to their congregations, to Scotty, Bruce, Sharon, Becky and Dave for cleanup and to BFA leadership for allowing the building to be utilized for this event. It was shared at the end of the movie that perhaps this celebration may become a first of many such other outreaches on this night.
