During the summer months, BFA decided that we would make a special effort to be more neighborly to the homes adjacent to our church location. This is done by about a ten or so of us going door-to-door and giving hand delivered special invitations for the event. BBQ's were brought in, and with salads, sweets, and super jumbo dogs and burgers, along with the tables set up on the grass, this event was a good success. On July 21 there were about 65 out for the luncheon, while on Aug 18, there were even more enjoying the time. As we get to know our neighbors here in Porcupine, we can practice what Jesus said to “love your neighbors as yourself”.
