Christmas Eve 2016

This Christmas Eve saw around 75 participants come to BFA to enjoy a time of quiet reflective worship as we remembered the events of that first Christmas over 2000 years ago. The Sunday School Jr. Choir under the leadership of Linda O sang a very sweet medley of songs. Various instrumentals including violin, hammer dulcimer, flute, clarinet, and piano gave us much to meditate upon and worship. Two different live praise teams including drums, bass, rhythm guitar, violin, and piano brought the congregation into a place of worship as we sang along with these hymns. Along with this time were six different BFA families who shared in the public reading of God's Word. Thanks to all who participated! It was a sweet time of remembering the greatest gift of all. Part of the evening also included a short video of a children's perspective on the first Christmas. Many found these humorous insights of the children's acting helpful to understanding what a child is thinking as they hear the story of God's gift to mankind in the form of a baby. The evening ending with all of the children receiving gift bags of nutritious sweets and snacks and a closing prayer by Jim M.
