On Wednesday, May 4, 2011 the men gathered at the London Cafe for a surprise supper to celebrate the retirement of Stan from his regular employment. While the men waited with eager anticipation, Stan was brought into the restaurant without him being aware that 11 other men were waiting. A number of gifts were presented, along with a card and various well wishes. Phil was unable to be present for this supper, but his letter of congratulations was read and appreciated by all. We concluded the time with a period of open prayer asking God to further bless Stan in his ministries and his future. All left thankful to God for the warmth of the time and this fellowship of believers!
