Christmas Eve 2017

On Christmas Eve, we were treated again to a time of worship and contemplation as we considered the birth of Jesus, the eternal Son of God, come into the world. Stan delighted all with a prelude of his unique country styling Christmas Praise. Following the introduction, and first congregational hymn, the BFA Sunday School under the leadership of Linda O, presented their version of the first Christmas. It was fun to see the children as shepherds, and to witness the glory of God once again. Fern P. gave us a wonderful solo on the hammered dulcimer, while we are grateful to Jodie and Ryan, Scotty, Bruce and Sharron, Judy M, Phil and Peggy, and Joanne C for the various scripture readings. Each reading centered on the praise which ensued from the various characters who encountered the birth of Jesus. Following Rod Baker's closing prayer, goodie treats were given out to the young and young at heart! All left with a renewed sense of gratitude for the arrival of Jesus into this world.
