On April 1st (Easter Sunday) this year, over twenty five came out to the annual 8:00 am Easter Son-Rise Breakfast. It was a warm and happy time as we enjoyed a traditional breakfast including such favourites as baked beans, eggs, jowl bacon, ham, home fries and all those happy foods we associate with this time. Following breakfast, we joined with another ten additional to celebrate the Lord's supper...with joy and thanksgiving at the resurrection! This time flowed right into the next service (Celebrate Easter). As we entered the main sactuary, the cross which had been imbedded with nails from the Good Friday Service was now adorned with flowers growing from those same holes! This action symbolized the amazing effect of the resurrection on our lives. Around sixty or so. came out to enjoy this time with us, as the praise team again was a combination of several of our regular teams, with three favourite Easter Hymns (Christ Arose, Alleluia, Alleluia, and Crown Him with Many Crowns) and three contemporary hymns (He's Alive-Stan C, Once Again, and  "O- Praise the Name"- Hannah M). Dr. David Hook gave the Easter Message on the topic of Jesus, God's Divine Son. The reality of the resurrection is the foundation of our faith, and it is the fact of the resurrection which gives each one a sure hope to face life's challenges.
