For the past several years, the maintenance committee had pursued the option of replacing our carpets which were now almost 30 years old. After a lengthy evaluation of various local carpet installers, a quote for the replacement of BFA's carpet was agreed to, and the date for installation set to begin for the week of Jan. 17^th. Prior to this time, all chairs and equipment from the mail room, and prayer room (former library) had to be removed, along with all musical equipment. This included arranging the moving of the piano, organ (thanks to Richards moving for their assistance, and Vickie/Dave and those who were present as well), moving of all the drums and cymbals, moving of all the files, and furniture from the main office, and removal of all chairs from the sanctuary. Some of this happened on the week prior to the carpet installation, while a large portion happened on the Sunday, just following the service. What a busy time it was. The following week, under the watchful supervision of Wade, we saw the removal of all the old carpets, as well as the installation of the new. Thanks to Carpet Man for their excellent job in completing this task and to all those involved behind the scenes getting all the hidden projects completed.
