Christmas Eve Service 2019
December 24, 2019 at 3:34 PM
This year BFA had as its Christmas Eve theme "The 5 Candles of Advent." Each reading was introduced with a candle lit to represent Jesus as hope, preparation, joy, love and finally; holiness and purity. Various members of BFA brought forth scripture relating to this theme as well as lit a candle for this moment. We were blessed with various ones offering their musical gift on the Hammered Dulcimer, piano, organ, guitars, bass guitar, violins, flutes, vocals, drums, and sound system and power point. The congregation enjoy singing out the traditional Christmas hymns as well as modern Christmas praise. We followed the time with closing prayer, and the offering of children's treat bags, which this year also included a copy of a bilingual or a contemporary English New Testament. Around 70 were present for this wonderful time of reflection on the wonder of the Incarnation.
